U11 WIN V LOCAL RIVALS ASHCOTT. After an inspirational team talk by Liam Young wedmore fielded & bowled tightly to restrict Ashcott to 222 with outstanding bowling by Adam Stimpson (3 for 2) & Charlie Spurr (1 for 6) including some bruising blows to the Ashcott batsmen.

Presentation Evening April 20th 2013 at the Clubhouse

The re scheduled Presentation Evening (for 2012 season) is on Saturday 20th April.
We will be starting at 7.30 pm in the clubhouse. The bar will be open and we are planning to have a choice of takeaway food on the night.
Details will follow - all welcome.

Cricket Nets

Cricket Nets start this Sunday 20th Jan 5.30 pm - 7 pm at Mark College.
Details of youth nets to follow - Anticipated start Mid February

Christmas Celebrations

Our seasonal gathering will commence at 7.30pm in the New Inn - 22nd December.
We will eventually arrive at the George
Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry as first drink.
Dress Code - You must wear a item of Christmas clothing.

Wedmore first team were awarded the prestigous Don Crouch trophy for the 2012 season.
The award is given for good sportsmanship & is voted by all 100 teams throughout the Shrubbery League.

Captain Patch Leads the way

Wedmore seconds won comfortably against Sparkford following excellent bowling From Josh Burgess & Chris Major & Ian Harris.
Shaggy Charalambus secured fielder of the day with a stunning catch

Bob Foster Bowls 12 Overs!

In 30 degree temperatures Bob Foster showed his perfect fitness allowed him to bowl with agrression for 12 overs & demonstrate that there is no substitute for a healthy diet.

End of Season

The season has drawn to a damp conclusion with too many games cancelled for any team to gain momentum.

Final Friendly Fixture

Weather permitting the final game of the season will be:- Sunday 9th September Away to Banwell & Churchill
